Fundraising Today for a Better Tomorrow
In 2008, WestCare's first ever national campaign to raise funds was held. The WestCare Foundation Endowment Campaign was part of a long range vision and plan to ensure that the work of WestCare continues in the future. Proceeds from the endowment campaign are supervised by the Board of Directors who wisely invest the principal and oversee use of the earnings to best support WestCare programs and services.
A separate, free-standing 501(c)(3) Endowment Trust supervises gifts made to this campaign (as well as future endowment gifts). The Board of Directors is responsible for investing the trust wisely, safely, and with the strongest earnings potential. A goal of the endowment trust is to never touch the principal, rather only use the earnings to support the necessary programs and services.
