WESTCARE NORTH CAROLINA

WestCare North Carolina is home to the WestCare North Carolina Girls Program, a gender responsive residential facility for girls 13-17. This 20-bed program is for girls who are referred by the North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJ), and are classified at a Level 2 Adjudicated Status. The program will utilized experienced Residential Counselors, Certified Teachers, Qualified Health Care Staff, Licensed Social Workers and Therapists, and a team of professionals to facilitate social, emotional and educational growth within each adolescent female we serve.

During the 4-6 month stay, WCNC staff strive to assist young women in learning the skills and tools needed to successfully re-integrate with their families, and back into their communities. Family support services are also an integral component of the program. The campus provides a wealth of services, strengthening and broadening the behavior and education of the girls participating in the program.
