WestCare Foundation will be providing services for their new Wyoming Triple C in multiple cities throughout the state of Wyoming. WestCare Foundation is looking to recruit several positions in Lusk, Newcastle, Rawlins, Riverton, and Torrington. All positions are full time positions.
Senior Counselors
Person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day assessment and treatment program functions, clinical staff supervision, and flow of program activities. One (1) year TC experience; three (3) years of counseling experience, preferred; must be capable of obtaining and interpreting information regarding the client’s bio-psychosocial spiritual needs, and is knowledgeable about the bio-psychosocial spiritual dimensions of alcohol and other drug disorders, including assessment of the client’s stage to change; must possess knowledge of chemical dependency, substance abuse and personality dynamics of the substance abuser including knowledge of cultural and criminal sub-cultures; experience in training and evaluating employees including evaluating counselors’ abilities to facilitate and manage classroom environments and present information; experience developing schedules for groups and staffing schedules; Licensed by the State of Wyoming as a clinical social worker, psychologies, addictions therapist, professional counselor, or other related professional, and meets the licensing standards for clinical supervisor if supervisory duties are assigned.
Counselors
Person in this position will be responsible for the delivery of face-to-face SAP activities and services to inmates participating in the program. Experience consisting of one (1) year of providing direct substance abuse counseling services to the criminal justice population required; must be certified by the State of Wyoming as a Certified Addictions Practitioner (professional license preferred), knowledge of offender populations, criminal subcultures, and cultural differences, substance abuse assessment tools, therapeutic community concepts; graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is preferred; a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
