Frank Rabbito Appointed to Task Force on Treatment-Based Drug Courts

Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Barbara J. Pariente recently appointed Frank C. Rabbito, Regional Vice President and Administrator of The Village South and Village Virgin Islands to the Supreme Court’s Task Force on Treatment-Based Drug Courts. The Village South is located in Miami, Florida.

The Task Force is charged with developing strategies to assist judges with integrating drug court principles in family court proceedings; developing recommended standards of practice for the management of drug courts; developing standards for delinquency and dependency drug courts.

Additionally, the Task Force is authorized to propose amendments to rules of court procedure on issues involving drug courts, as well as pursue those amendments with the appropriate Florida Bar rules committees.

Rabbito will fill one of two slots representing the provider community, and will serve along with judges, criminal justice and law enforcement officials, the director of the state Office of Drug Control Policy, and Florida’s state alcohol and drug abuse director. His term will expire on June 30, 2006.
