Priority list for coal severance projects announced for 2009

PIKEVILLE — The Pike County Fiscal Court provided the priority list for coal severance projects that were approved under House Bill 410 this year.

The bill requires the county to provide a priority list to determine at which time the projects are funded.

Magistrates also passed a motion requiring any non-governmental agency receiving coal severance funds to sign an agreement of accountability for the money.

The county’s priority list of coal severance tax line item projects for the 2009 fiscal year:
