HCCP Outpatient Coordinator: Person in this position will assist the team in the areas of program and policy development. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversight of Intake and evaluation of clients needing outpatient substance abuse and/or mental health outpatient treatment services;
- Responsible for all aspects of outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment for all clients at WestCare facilities
- Responsible for training and supervision of all substance abuse and mental health outpatient staff;
- Assists the Director with program design, development, and implementation of outpatient programs;
- Coordinates client treatment with the other WestCare Nevada programs/staff;
- Provides regular reports regarding programs and clients;
- Responsible for facility compliance with health, fire, and other regulatory standards;
- Provides quality improvement reviews on all counselor files on a monthly basis;
- Provides counselor observation and clinical supervision on a quarterly basis;
- Meets with staff and treatment team on a weekly basis;
- Report to the Director at a minimum of once weekly;
- Review each employee’s job performance on a yearly basis (or more often if necessary). Hire and terminate employees with advice and consent from the Director, Vice President and Director of Human Resources.
- Acts as a WestCare representative/liaison with other agencies;
- Attend regular professional education classes/workshops to continuously upgrade job skills or promote the image of the agency;
- Respond to all emergency situations that would necessitate the Program Coordinator’s intervention;
- Insure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare Nevada, Inc. are carried out at the substance abuse outpatient treatment sites;
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principle, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.

Education:
- Advanced degree in related field with certification/licensure as a substance abuse counselor with two years supervisory or related experience.
Working Conditions:
- Professional, business office setting
- Some local and out of State travel
- The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues. Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid to be potentially exposed in some other way.
Physical Demands:

- Constant computer and telephone use
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds

Community Triage Center (Reno)
• Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Reno. Advanced Practice Nurse /Physician Assistant. WestCare Nevada, a non-profit behavioral healthcare organization is seeking a midlevel practitioner to provide health care services to an underserved community. This challenging position offers autonomy and an opportunity for growth as services are expanded within the community. As part of the treatment team the NP/PA provides a history and physical and routine health care to clients with substance abuse and/or mental illness. Knowledge of detoxification protocols as well as experience working with clients exhibiting mental illness is desirable. Due to needs in the community, this is a fast-paced high intensity setting that enables the candidate to use a variety of skills while working with EMS, law enforcement, local hospitals and community providers while planning and developing treatment modalities with the WestCare Team to ensure quality care for our clients. Must have ability to be licensed in the State of Nevada or have current licensure as an APN or PA. Preference would be given to residents of Northern Nevada. This is currently a part time position.
